Madelyn Clapping In Action

Madelyn gave her daddy a nice present the day before he left for China for a week.  She started clapping. Here's a video of her sitting on Brian's chest clapping.

 

 

Our Adventures to the Playground

We've gone to the playground a few times now that the weather has been nice.  Madelyn loves the swings. Here are a couple photos from the times we've gone. Don't miss the cute videos at the end. Enjoy!

Wild Child

Madelyn's school had spirit week and one of the days was wacky hair day.  I attempted to do something wacky but it didn't last long.

8 months old

I know I say this every month but I can't believe that Madelyn is 8 months old. I was putting her to sleep the other night and looked at her and realized that she is now a little girl not my baby girl.

• She's doing a great job at eating.  I think she is finally eating more than 50% solids now as her poop has finally become solid. Thank goodness.
• She waves hi and bye now but not on command only when she decides to.
• She says "da da" constantly although I don't think she associates it with her daddy yet.
• She enjoys pulling her socks off and holding them while sucking her thumb. It's very comforting to her (strange I know!)
• When I say mama to try to get her to say it, she looks at me funny and puts her fingers to my mouth as if she is trying to figure out how I make the noise.
• She is not crawling but she can turn herself around and around in a circle on her tummy.
• She also likes to do airplane on her tummy where she puts both her legs up and her hands out.
• She hasn't figured out how to get back into sitting position and that is very frustrating to her
• She's been going to be bed by 7 pm now that she is eating dinner with us and still sleeping great.
• Not only does she enjoy removing glasses from our face, she also believes in removing pacifiers from her classmate's mouths. I really think she doesn't believe they should be there. Silly girl!

Here are some photos from the day. Note it was wear your favorite hat day to school and that night we all went out to dinner to celebrate Brian's project being shipped to China after working 12 hour days and many weekends leading up to it.  Unfortunately, Madelyn had a blow out that day so we didn't get that many photos of her in her 8 month sticker outfit.

Infant Massage Get Together

We all got together in February. It's amazing how much the girls have grown up since we first met in the end of August.  Some are now crawling and all are eating solid foods! Or even from our last get together in December (see blog post). So fun. Can't wait until our next get together!
