5/14-5/15/16: Madelyn's Dance Recital Weekend

May 14: The girls had their rehearsal the day before the recital. We were able to video it then so it was so nice to see :) They had a blast at rehearsal and performing their recital piece. Their teacher was Katie White and they preformed to a song from the musical Matilda called "When I Grow Up."

May 15: Actual Recital Day

It was so much fun to see the girls perform. Madelyn loved it and was so happy to have Grandma & Grandpa Giese and Aunt Beth and Juliana plus Daddy and Allison come see her!

Madelyn with her teacher Miss Katie

I was room mom so I sat with the girls during the show

Brian was able to get some cool ones on stage without a flash!!

Here's her video!

3/21/16: Ballet Parent Watch Week

We got to watch Madelyn again a few weeks before she'll perform for her recital. She seems to enjoy this class and loves the "Let's Go Swimming" song they do at the end of the class.

Such a sweet sister making sure Allison got a stamp too.

Blackberry Farm in May

We had season passes this year again and got a lot of use out of it in May.

May 2nd: We went on opening day! The girls had no problem jumping back on the ponies.

May 16: Short trip before Madelyn's doctor apt

May 19th: Connor came too!

I was brave taking them paddle boat riding on my own

Madelyn's First Science Fair

Madelyn participated in her preschool's school science fair.  She did an experiment where she predicted whether or not the material would dissolve (disappear) in water. As you can see from the photos, she had a lot of fun doing this. She correctly predicted that sand would not dissolve and that sugar would but was incorrect when she thought that corn starch would dissolve. Corn starch didn't dissolve but turned into almost silly putty. Madelyn called it toothpaste :)

Allison had little interest in the science fair but she did manage to climb onto of the blue tunnel all by herself. Something the kids love being able to do since the teachers only let them go up on top if they can climb there themselves.
Proud Allison

Here's a video of her doing it:

5/7/16: Mother Daughter Dinner

Our neighbor, Valerie, invited us to a Mother Daughter Dinner at her church. This year's theme was Princesses which was perfect since we are headed to Disney World in a month!  All the ladies on the street attended: Kyra, Marley and Etta Haynes, Anastasia, Vicky and Peggy, Valerie, Grace and Sofie Sims and then the Hartsell girls. It was a nice evening where the men waited on us :) Allison was the cutest little snow white full of personality as can been seen by her photos!
