Last Day of Gymnastics

Madelyn took gymnastics for three sessions and loved it. Here are some photos and videos from her last day.

Easter

We were so grateful that Easter was late this year since if it hadn't been, we wouldn't have been able to do an Easter Egg Hunt outside! We did an Easter Egg hunt at our church the weekend before. It was so nice to be able to be outside without a coat!

So proud of her sparky egg

Easter Morning, Madelyn was excited to find eggs. She really liked the egg that was in the window and still talks about how there was an egg there.  She did lose interest before finding all of them though but it was better than last year.

What's up Doc?

Madelyn was so affectionate here as she talked to Allison

Sisterly Love!
After church, we headed over to my parents house for Easter Brunch. Madelyn was happy to find more eggs hidden outside with her cousins.

Matching Easter Dresses!

So proud of the eggs she found

We managed to get Connor to sit for a photo but this was the best one I got.

Allison loving her thumb.

It was such a beautiful day that we stayed outside later than normal. Madelyn loves her swings again. She always seems timid at the start of spring and then remembers how much she loves them. I love that these photos capture her joy of swinging!

4/17/14 Allison's 3rd month

Here's what Allison's been up to in her third month:
  • She is smiling more now and it's easier to get her to smile but Madelyn gets the most. Madelyn is so encouraging and says "good mile, Allison" since she can't say the S.
  • Strange enough, she seems to smile the most when on the changing table at home and school! I guess she likes her diapers changed!
  • Allison cries when bathing unless Madelyn is in the tub next to her. So sweet.
  • She is our good little sleeper sleeping through the night 6:30-6 am most nights. I feel so bad when I have to wake her up to get her ready for school.
  • She is drinking three 4 oz bottles at school. She started school March 31st.  She seems to be adjusting just fine.
  • She has been slacking on her tummy time as she likes to suck her hand instead so she still has quite the bobble head.  We have a ways to go but hopefully school will help her get more tummy time.
  • She's not on any type of schedule yet but seems to be spacing out her feedings. She does not nurse all the time like Madelyn did. Allison actual doesn't nurse unless she is hungry so I am learning other ways to soothe her when she is fussy which luckily is not that often!
  • She is growing so fast. I am already putting away 0-3 month clothes especially sleepers or other one piece outfits.
  • She has broken out of her swaddle so now she is in the bigger size but double swaddled so she can't escape!
  • She still loves to be carried in the moby wrap.

Getting better at lifting her head up

Any thoughts at what has her so captivated?
She loves her ceiling fans!

I broke out of it!

So tired, she just fell asleep on my shoulder

I have a photo of Madelyn in this outfit too!

The double swaddle.

Big smiles!

Look at those cheeks!
