Monkey Joe's Playdate

We had a fun playdate at Monkey Joe's with lots of one-year-old girls. It was a good time for most but some of girls did not like the jumpy things and were scared.  The highlight of Madelyn's day was running into her friend, Declan. She had been at school with Declan for 15 months when he stopped going to Goddard to stay home with his mom. She was so sad when he left and keeps pointing to him in photos so when she saw him, she was delighted and ditched her girlfriends to follow her boyfriend.  It was so cute to see those two together again.

SNOW!

Madelyn's been a big helper to Daddy when it comes to snow.  When we got a few inches for the first time, we decided to be late for work and school and have fun shoveling just in case that was all the snow we got. Fortunately we got a few more snow falls that required shoveling.  Madelyn insisted on helping Daddy shovel but didn't last long most of the time. When the snow got too deep, she refused to walk through it insisting on be carried.  She also wasn't a fan of sledding even just in our front yard. :( Hopefully next year she likes the winter sports more since her parents are winter sports fans.
