The Hartsell Family: Laura's Wedding Weekend

We were so excited for Laura and Dan's wedding on August 1st. We drove up to Eau Claire Thursday and spent the night and then finished the drive to Minneapolis on Friday. Friday evening was the rehearsal dinner where our girls were the only kids! They spent a lot of time outside with their cameras taking photos. Madelyn loved her jewelry box for being the flower girl from Aunt Laura. Saturday was the big day but we had most of the morning to play since the wedding wasn't until that evening. Madelyn enjoyed getting her hair done but nap time did a number on her hair. Oh well. She still looked darling. Madelyn did a great walking down all the steps but ran out of flowers before she even made it to the center (she was suppose to not start until there but oh well!) When she got to the bottom of the stairs, she started heading to Brian but then remembered to head back to me but made a grand spin like it was what she meant to do. It was quite cute. Keeping Allison entertained during the ceremony was a bit tricky especially since there was water just a few feet in front of her but we all survived and no one ended up in the water or throwing big tantrums so I'd call it a success! The girls enjoyed playing with their second cousins, Amber, Morgan and Ashlyn. Unfortunately the girls were tried out before dancing even began so I took them back to the hotel. I was a little sad to have not gotten to see them dance since they love to dance. Sunday we had breakfast and then headed back home in one long day of driving. We were luckily enough to stop at a park and play for a bit while we ate lunch. Over all though the girls were pretty good in the car and we had a wonderful time celebrating Aunt Laura and Uncle Dan's wedding!!
