Children Museum Visits!

The Metzdorf Family and us were able to visit many different Children's Museums this past spring. Our favorite was the Kohl's Children's Museum followed by Dupage Children's Museum. We also traveled to Oak Lawn, and Oak Park.

This was our least favorite children's museum. It was very small and there wasn't too much to do. The kids favorite was cranking the food conveyor belt and there was a neat "tree house" you could go up in. We didn't stay super long and decided to eat at a Chick Fil a near by only realize that it didn't have a playground!!  We then found a cool park for the kids to play at but the bathrooms were locked and Allison, Connor and Benjamin all had to poop. It certainly was our most adventurous trip!

You would have thought this would have been awesome with all the exhibits and pretend play upstairs but it was a little overwhelming for the kids because it was all in one big room and didn't feel divided up enough. They did love the downstairs with the water, sand and balls which I didn't get any photos of so I had to find some to remember it. The upstairs had a lot of pretend play like grocery shopping (not nearly as cool as Kohl Children's Museum), Firefighter, Vet, Police, Ambulance, and a theater. The kids did like the art studio where they could paint the glass and then spray it and wash it off. They also liked being able to "fly" the kites they had made. You can attach your creative kit to their permanent kit which goes up and down on a track. The kids enjoyed pushing the buttons and watching it a lot. Their kites did many trips!
