Some Fun Videos :)

I just wanted to post some cute videos.  Here are some recent ones. I hope they make you smile.

I love how Madelyn is dancing and slapping her knees to the music. I also love how she says uh-oh at the end when the train runs into the table.

We blow on Madelyn's food when it's hot. I love how she imitates us by opening her mouth and breathing out and saying "ot."  You can see in the video her doing this and then pulling back after she's "blown" on it.

Here's Madelyn giving a dramatic Thank you in sign language as well as trying to say it.  She was giving me all her grapes so I said thank you and then she said it back.

Two special memories

I made a note to myself to make sure to capture these two moments that I love so much. Madelyn looking out her bedroom window and her carrying her lunch box which she does everyday. It is very helpful and she is the only one in her class that I've seen do it.

Here Madelyn is in her car and off to work with her lunch :)
Off to school with Daddy holding her lunch bag. She's such a big help!

Friend Get Togethers

We got to see a lot of our friends recently especially some we hadn't seen in a long time! Here's a recap.

In late August, our old neighbors from Legacy Fields got together for breakfast (Although now only one of us still lives in our townhome association). Jenna and her daughter Natalie moved back from Arizona to Aurora! We are so happy to have them back around. Natalie, Ava and Madelyn are within a month in age so it's fun seeing the girls grow up together.

Welcome back Jenna and Natalie!

Madelyn found a huge ball!

The whole gang! It's hard getting so many people to look at once!

Tom and Lani came back to introduce their daughter, Zoe.  They had an open house over labor day and we were so happy to be able to catch up with them and meet Zoe. Tom and Brian worked together at Life Spine.

Our good friends Jennifer and Russ needed a date night so we offered to have Eliza over for dinner. The girls had a good time playing together and Eliza's folks were happy to get away for dinner.

Music Together Class

Madelyn's been taking a Music Together class and loves it.  She certainly has rhythm.  I normally take Madelyn by myself so it's hard to take photos since the class goes by so fast. At first, we sing songs and clap our hands or thighs.  Then we usually get up and walk or dance around. Next we play with musical instruments and make our own music and then a quick lullaby.  Here are some photos of when Grandpa Giese joined us. Madelyn had so much fun with Grandpa. She was full of her cute giggles. Especially when he would run her into the middle of the circle and then run her back. He got voted the classes favorite grandpa because he was so active in class singing, dance and being silly unlike most grandparents who just sit and watch and occasionally sing. Thanks for being so much fun, Grandpa!

Stick time--Madelyn is pretty good at her sticks

Thanks for the gifts!

Madelyn got some great gifts for her birthday. Here are few of them in action.

Madelyn and Daddy reading her "Dog" book which she absolutely loves but keeps ripping the head off one of the dogs

Madelyn loves her markers and I love that they are washable!  They are so much better than crayons because they easily make a mark.
Out for an early morning wagon ride in her PJs. The only bad part about the wagon (being behind us) is that we have to listen for uh-oh's when she decided to throw out her snack, stuffed animal or hat.

Lots of Eating!

Madelyn loves to eat. Here are some great photos and an awesome Corn Video!!

I love how she is trying so hard to use her utensils.

So happy here eating with Daddy.

She likes to drink out of our water bottles.

Doing a great job drinking out of an open cup!

So proud.

Madelyn loved her corn on the cob--although I am not sure how many kernels she actually ate.

Here's a great clip of Madelyn eating her corn on the cob. I love when she hits herself in the head with it.

She's a Walker!

Madelyn started walking longer distances the weekend of August 18th (about a week after she turned 13 months). I love how she walked when she first started as she always had her hands up in the air like he-man.  Now that it's been a couple weeks, she doesn't have nearly as cute a waddle.

Here's a video from August 19th when she was still a little unsteady.
