Thanksgiving in Omaha

We made the LONG drive to Omaha for Thanksgiving. It was an interesting drive with a 16 month old. Two hours into the drive, Madelyn was saying "all done" and "out" and when she didn't get out soon enough, she was screaming. Luckily after some lunch and a nap, she did okay the rest of the 8 hour trip. Same thing happened on the way back.

That said, we had a GREAT time in Omaha. We went to the Omaha Zoo and the Children's Museum, got to see Madelyn's great-grandparents, celebrated an early Christmas and got to spend lots of time with Grandpa and Grandma Hartsell and Aunt Laura!

We finally got to meet Evelyn (my friend Susan's daughter) when we headed into Chicago for breakfast at Susan and Jeff's. It was so much fun catching up with them and seeing Evelyn (almost 6 months). Madelyn was jealous when I was holding Evelyn but seemed to be okay if I held both of them! Then we took advantage of being downtown and went to the Shedd Aquarium.
