We've made a bunch of more improvements. Brian and I installed another ceiling fan. This time in the baby's room. This is the second install where we had to run electrical wiring and cut a hole in the ceiling. Unfortunately for Brian, I couldn't be the one to spend hours up in the attic this time so he had to do all the fun work up there. The hardest part for him was balancing between the I beams. We've had the fan/light up for a couple of months and it's hard to believe we never had one in there before.
We finally finished our task of redoing the closets by finishing the office closet. The last closet has turned into more of a storage closet so we just added a shelf to allowed for easier access to the items.
We also installed wood blinds in our office and baby's room since those were the only windows left in the house that didn't have wood blinds. It certainly makes a difference as far as looks and easy of opening!

28 week bump
The start of the third trimester! Look at how much I've grown. I keep getting comments that either I am so small or so big so who really knows. I do know that I am getting full at meals faster than before because the baby is squishing my stomach. Just means I eat smaller meals more often.
Anyone need some Chinese cabbage???? Neither of us are big fans of cabbage. We'll see how much longer I can keep up the photos. Some of the fruits and vegetables to come are pretty unique!
| 28 weeks: Baby's weight is equal to a Chinese cabbage -- about 2 1/4 pounds |

Being the Baby of the Family
Well there are good things to being the baby of the family. Although, you have to put up with doing whatever your big sister tells you to do, I have gotten my pay back.
1) I got two huge bins of maternity clothes from my sister and haven't had to buy any maternity clothes!! Oh and the clothes are probably cuter than I would have ever bought.
2) Baby clothes hand-me-downs!!! Look at this closet. It's packed!
We bought 80 hangers at target and I still don't have enough. At first I didn't think Juliana's clothes would work because Juliana was born in November causing the seasons not to match. But I was surprised at how much I found that would work. There were also clothes from Joe's sister whose little girl was born in March so I am pretty much covered as far as girl clothes.
Here's to hoping the ultrasound is correct!!

A Few Photos of Us
I realize that some of you might wonder if I wear anything but black. I do!! I've just been keeping the photos consistent for control purposes. I guess that's the scientist in Brian and me.
Preta likes to sleep with me now that I have an oven attached to me. He loves curling up next to my belly while we sleep which is nice but he gets so HOT. I wake up with my sheet wet.

My dog chews gum
I don't know why lately but Leia keeps picking up gum on our walks. She LOVES it. Keeps it in her mouth until I figure out she has it. Luckily, she is good with the command drop and hasn't brought it into the house yet. I've caught her at least 10 times. Silly dog. I guess gum is better than her eating dog or geese poop which she also enjoys. But we love her in spite of her faults.

24 week bump
Boy oh boy did I sure pop. I feel HUGE! Crazy to think what I'll be like in another few months! I've been feeling great though and keeping busy with prenatal water aerobics on Monday nights and yoga/pilates on Saturday. I think both are really helping me stay fit so I can carry around all this weight. At 24 weeks the baby is the length of an ear of corn which is extremely hard to find in MARCH! so Brian estimated that the length of an ear of corn is approximately equal to a head of romaine.
Note to self: I should stop taking these pictures after I come home from a long day at work. I look exhausted but I probably was. It was way past my bed time of 9:30!

I Don't Work Here
So I had to work three days (Monday - Wednesday) on the midnight to 8 am shift this week. I did actually fairly well flipping my schedule but my brain was not functioning like it normally does since it was the middle of the night. On Wednesday, I had to stay up during the day so that I could get my system back on track and sleep at night. So I entertained myself by adding to my Target registry. So fun!! So there I was scanning away when a lady came up to me and started asking me a very long winded question. At first I was confused and then I realized that she thought I worked there because I was wearing a RED shirt and had a scanner! I had to interrupt her and tell her I didn't work there. She was a bit confused and then walked away. Now, I am going to try to remember never to wear red when registering at Target :)
